Perfume Experiments

I am going to be working on some eau-de-colognes starting this weekend.  The classic eau-de-cologne is a blend of citrus oils (mainly bergamot) with petitgrain (from the leaves of the bitter orange tree) with a little Lavender, Rosemary, and Neroli.  I like to add a little Orange Blossom absolute to get more of a neroli scent.  It takes a couple months to make and I make it in stages-final stage is to add some Neroli flower water (hydrosol).  I am going to make some different versions of this in lemon and mandarin and I'm thinking about a version with Yuzu.  I can distill my flower waters with organic lemons and mandarins but not sure what to use with the Yuzu.  Grapefruit?  Lime?  Oh well.  I have plenty of time to think about it while the essential oils are blending in the alcohol.

I have so much work to do I get tired just thinking about it.  I may do another youtube video soon too, because my garden has changed a lot.

I wish I could help, but I have no idea what Yuzu smells like. Sad panda
