Flowers For Mom Giveaway by Glory Be Herbals and Adirondack Aromatherapy

It's here!  The giveaway for Mother's Day is finally here and I have teamed up with Gretchen from
Adirondack Aromatherapy for this one.  I LOVE her products and you will too!

Gretchen is giving away a bottle of her Monoi de Tahiti (coconut oil infused with Gardenia flowers), a bar of her Perfect Peace crystal gem soap, a 5 ml bottle of her Victorian Flowers perfume oil (Lemon Verbena, Lavender, Geranium, Rose and Violet leaf-a personal favorite of mine) and a wooden soap deck (keeps your soap dry between uses so it won't melt away).

I am giving away a set of floral based creams to keep your Mom's skin glowing all packaged up in a vinyl travel bag for convenient storage and travel.  This set will include a jar of my best selling cold cream (made with chamomile infused oil), Stephie's Rescue Cream (a medicated cream made with Lavender infused oil and Lavandin essential oil), a bottle of Calendula and Rose calming lotion, and a jar of my new Lavender body butter.  I haven't even listed the body butter yet but it is made with Lavender infused oils, Lavender hydrosol and High Altitude Bulgarian Lavender essential oil!  I have been using this on my hands before I go to bed and it soaks in quickly, makes my hands soft and helps me sleep soundly.

The combined value of this giveaway is at least $75-we want one lucky winner's Mom to have a FABULOUS Mother's day!  This will end at midnight on May 4th and the winner will be contacted on May 5th.  We hope to hear from the winner right away so we can get it all in the mail to you in time for Mother's Day (you will be receiving 2 packages).  To enter simply leave a comment and let me know why you think your Mom is the best!

Visit my store or Gretchen's store for more beautiful all natural gift ideas for Mom.  Open to the US only.

March Giveaway

For March I will be giving away one of my aroma minis. As always just leave a comment to be eligible.

Description
These are standard lip balm tubes filled with the natural aromatic balm of your choice.

Lavender-made with a High Altitude French Lavender. This lavender is the best I have ever smelled! It can be used for stress relief, massaged over your forehead and the back of your neck for tension headache, or applied to cuts and scrapes to speed healing.

Rosewood-This essential oil is famous in spas for it's ability to stimulate the production of healthy new skin cells. It is also used for stress relief, to bring the body and mind back into balance. It also stimulates the immune system, which tends to be compromised when we're stressed. It smells really beautiful.

GBH for Men-This is a masculine blend that I have created using sweet orange, cedarwood, patchouli, clove and a touch of lime.

Joy-This is one of my best selling blends that I created to treat burnout and depression. It contains grapefeuit, bergamot, ylang ylang, vetiver, etc. This blend is also great for the winter blues.

February Giveaway

The winner of the January giveaways is Kym of Home Made Beauty Reviews. Congratulations and I'll be sending some extra goodies for you to review-I hope this gets your blog some attention! It really is useful to see what someone else thinks of a product before you buy.
I didn't post the January giveaway on the etsy giveaways and I may not post this one either! I make it so simple to enter-just leave a comment! I know I have a little bit of a following so I will reserve my giveaways to the "faithful" for a while.
This month I am going to offer a choice of essential oil-5 ml. These are the choices:
High Altitude French Lavender-very soft floral fragrance!
Petitgrain Bigarade-from the leaves and twigs of the bitter orange tree. A very nice relaxing oil.
Patchouli-this is a very mellow aged patchouli-vintage 2006.
Lemongrass
Peppermint
Rosemary-great for memory and concentration.
Geranium-rosy scent. A great balancing oil for women, helps control blood sugar, nerve pain, for burns, etc.
Sweet Orange-smells just like orange! Great uplifting scent that kids really love.
Bergamot-my favorite citrus oil. It has an almost floral and peppery tone.
Pink Grapefruit-Yummy! Helps control appetite and is great in a diffuser.
Leave a comment and let me know which one sounds good to you. This will end at midnight on Feb 28th. I will send an email, probably in the wee hours of the morning on March 1st.
If I don't get ANY comments I will continue it through March.

Infused oils and the Joys of Customs

Today is my youngest nephew's birthday and the Feast Day of John the Baptist. USUALLY, on June 24th I know I can start harvesting my flowers from my St John's Wort. This year the harvest has come early, probably because we have had tons of rain this year. So, as you can see, I already have 2 jars of oil going. The large jar on the left I started right before I took the picture and the smaller jar I started a week ago. You can tell the oil is changing colors already. But I still have at least 3 more weeks to go before it's ready. This is one oil that I make sure I always have on hand. It is nothing short of miraculous on burns, inflammed muscles, cuts, and to repair damaged nerves. I always include it in sports rubs to help heal sore muscles.

I had gift certificates for my hyena cart store in the June spotted box. I had a customer email me about my body balm she wanted to try but she said she is not crazy about essential oils except for peppermint. So I told her I could do that for her, and she emailed me back and said she would like a citrus mint if I could do that. So I was kinda nervous and excited at the same time. I pulled my bag of citrus oils out of the fridge and started smelling them, smelling the peppermint and playing with a blend. I decided on peppermint with a little bergamot, lemon, and steam distilled lime. Well, I got an email from her yesterday after she received it and she is absolutely in love and wants more plus a cream with the same blend. She said she wanted to swim in it! This is why I love doing custom orders. It gives me a chance to get to know people, use my imagination, and hopefully make a customer incredibly happy. The feedback she left me was awesome-I couldn't have made up better feedback myself.

I have decided to keep up the monthly giveaways. I haven't decided if July's will end early or late since I will be out of town at the end of the month on vacation. I will let everyone know later.
